Use the number

The p(doom) index is free to use in your apps, bots, dashboards, articles and research. No key or sign-up. All we ask is a credit and a link (see License).

JSON endpoint

GET https://pdoomtracker.com/api/v1/index

Returns the current index, its plain-language reading, each group’s median, the method version and when it was last updated. Open to any website (CORS), refreshed hourly, cached for up to five minutes.

Stability: fields in /v1 won’t be removed or change meaning. New fields may be added. Anything that breaks this goes in a new version.

All estimates

GET https://pdoomtracker.com/api/v1/estimates

Everyone on the tracker with every estimate on record (quote, date, source, verification, and whether it’s their headline number), plus the watchlist. Same license and caching as the index.

History

GET https://pdoomtracker.com/api/v1/history

The index and each group’s median, one point per day since tracking began, plus the changes that moved it.

Badge

A small live badge for READMEs, blogs and newsletters. It updates with the index.

The index, group figures and estimate data are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). You can use them for anything, including commercially, as long as you credit p(doom) Tracker with a link to pdoomtracker.com. Quotes belong to the people who said them; we link to every original source. Questions about the API: questions@pdoomtracker.com.
